Raised in a modest household where education, discipline and values were non-negotiable, his formative years were shaped by the influence of religious ambience. Football grounds, tabla practice sessions and a rigorous academic environment instilled balance between mind and body.
His academic pursuit at IIT Kharagpur as a Chemical Engineer further strengthened his analytical thinking and problem-solving approach.. IIT Kharagpur opened the doors to global exposure and intellectual expansion, laying the foundation for a career that would later span research, cement manufacturing and leadership roles across the cement industry India, Gulf and Africa.
Today, he stands not only as a Cement Expert and business leader but also as an author and mentor committed to shaping lives through knowledge, discipline and purpose-driven guidance.
He successfully runs two companies headquartered in Dubai — CEM POWER INTERNATIONAL, a cement and power consulting firm, where he serves as Chairman and Managing Director, and ACUMEN GLOBAL TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT, a corporate training and development company, where he is the Founder and Managing Director.
His book, Parenting Algorithm – Nurturing Tomorrow’s Adults, is a thoughtful guide designed to help parents raise emotionally resilient children and prepare them to become responsible global citizens in an increasingly complex world.
Versatility Beyond Profession
During his years at IIT Kharagpur, Rabi Dasgupta exemplified true all-round excellence, balancing academic rigour with sport and the arts. A committed footballer, he was awarded the prestigious IIT Blue Award for his valuable contribution to IIT Football team for all 5 years.
Equally immersed in music, he was trained as a percussionist and tabla player, developing an appreciation for rhythm, precision and cultural heritage. These formative experiences shaped a balanced worldview where intellect, physical endurance and creativity coexist.

Family has remained the anchor of Rabi Dasgupta’s life. His wife, Gopa, has been a steadfast partner through every challenge and triumph. Together, they raised two daughters, Amrita and Udita, who remain his greatest source of pride and inspiration.
